The Lone German Wave from Ira Mowen on Vimeo.

This is the very moment that changed the course of my quest for the last German wave. Before this day I had yet to see a good, long, wave at this spot. After this wave rolled through and I never again watched from the shore.
*Note from Ira Mowen: The shaky camera is due to the fact that I was trying to watch “real life,” and film at the same time [no easy task, but worth trying once and a while]. My main interest in “real life” this time was because I was trying to triangulate exactly where the perfect take-off spot would be located. Twas the last “from afar” research sesh, to put it in surf terms.
